Through the years we have:

    Tulip Street Church
  • Provided funds for protective storm windows on neighborhood churches' historic stained glass windows
  • Contributed to the restoration of the Centennial Bell Tower at Tulip Street Church
  • Contributed funds toward the countywide Historic Buildings Survey
  • Maintained an archive of historic documents and photographs of Edgefield
  • Commissioned a Landscape Plan for the neighborhood; Installed and maintain plantings around portable buildings of Warner School
  • Installed stone entrances, through gift from the late Dr. Richard Fort
  • Edgefield neighbors developed a Traffic Calming plan, and are currently working toward implementation
  • Working with City Codes and Zoning agencies to rectify non-compliance
    • Successes: encouraged removal of quonset hut from East Park; accomplished removal of abandoned 60's building at 8th and Fatherland Streets; saved from demolition a turn-of-the-century apartment building in 900 block of Russell Street
  • Community Emergency Fund for neighbors in need; emergency house painting, wheelchair ramp and fencing are some examples of past projects
  • Donated over $5500 to ReLeaf Nashville, a three year project to re-plant urban trees lost in the tornado of April 1998
  • Actively participated in R/UDAT (Regional Urban Design Assistance Team, National Institute of Architects) in development of a plan for future growth throughout East Nashville
  • Actively participate in Rediscover East!, the implementation of the 1999 R/UDAT plan that is ongoing
